The Security+ certification is a foundational cybersecurity certification. This does not mean the Security+ is easy though. Although no experience is required, the CompTIA’s Security+ training and certification is a foundation-level certificate designed for IT administrators with a recommended two years’ experience whose job role is focused on system security. It is recommended you have the A+ and Network+ certifications or understand the body of knowledge for A+ and Network+ before you consider Security+ training and certification.
